Take the cable car to the top of the 1,400ft sheer-sided peak for panoramic views of the town, your ship, Spain and Africa. Then descend on foot to Michael’s Cave with its sparkling rock formations. Round off your day with great duty free shopping.

Hidden piazzas, opulent baroque churches, classical ruins at every turn. The best of Italian fashion. Countless art galleries, gardens and palaces. If ever there was a place to return to and delve deeper, it’s Rome.

For Renaissance treasures, nothing compares. The Uffizi is home to Michelangelo’s David, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Leonardo’s Annunciation – just to start. Add architectural icons like Brunelleschi’s Duomo, or the Baptistry with its Gates of Paradise.

Genoa, Italy
Welcome to one of the busiest harbors in Europe and your point of embarkation for Christopher Columbus’ home city. The city is bordered on one side by the ocean, and on the other by mountains. In the lower city, you will be sure to find cobblestone streets, quiet nooks interlaced in alleyways and unique shopping opportunities.
