Walvis Bay/Namibia, arrival 8.00 hrs
Namibia’s third-largest city is surrounded by areas of sand, which are interrupted in the south west by a lagoon inhabited by numerous flamingos. A scenic flight over the desert landscape of Sossusvlei* will take you over orange sand dunes, which – with heights of over 300 m (984 ft) – are some of the tallest in the world. An all-terrain vehicle is the perfect way to explore the untouched nature of the Namib desert*. Or opt for an overland excursion with re-embarkation the next day in Walvis Bay in Etosha National Park* or in the desert landscape of Sossusvlei* with a night in a safari lodge.
