Kiel Canal
As the northern German countryside drifts by on this daytime passage, you will have all the time in the world to enjoy the casual luxury of the EUROPA 2.

Gudhjem/Bornholm
Beautiful coastal and dune landscapes, half-timbered houses, small art galleries and smokehouses: “picturesque” is the perfect way to describe Gudhjem. Explore the north* or south* of the island with its traditional round churches or go fishing* along the coast.
Klaipeda
Even the expressionists and Thomas Mann, a winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, were thrilled by this place: the Curonian Spit* is a wonderful natural landscape with sand dunes up to 60 m tall – ideal for a scenic journey* or a ride in a Curonian barge*.

Riga
With maritime flair and a fascinating range of architectural styles, Riga is home to Romanesque, Gothic, baroque, classical and art nouveau buildings. Explore the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on foot or on a Segway tour*. A tip for connoisseurs: pankukas (pancakes) with salmon caviar and sour cream are available in many restaurants.
OUR TIP:
Riga from above
The tower of St Peter’s Cathedral rises 120 m into the air over Riga – perfect for spectacular panoramic views. |
Helsinki
The Finnish capital is regarded as the “Paris of the north”. The city’s sights include the Sibelius Park and the Rock Church, and exploring the city on a traditional two-mast sailing boat* or on the historic tram* promises to be an unforgettable experience. Riding in the RIB* through the archipelago in the waters just off Helsinki will be no less exciting.
St. Petersburg
Russia’s former capital is simply incredible – and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, too. Splendour and majesty are to be found on every corner and especially in the Hermitage, which houses more than three million exhibits. On a tour* of the Hermitage, you will be guided through selected rooms containing the best works of art by European masters. The restored legendary Amber Room sparkles in the Catherine Palace*. In the evening, why not see a classical ballet*: the ensemble is one of the most famous in the world. After one final night on board, it will be time to head home – or continue exploring St. Petersburg and Moscow with our post-cruise programmes*.
