Against a volcanic backdrop, Auckland provides the perfect starting point for your cruise with a city tour* and visit to the Sky Tower.
Mount Maunganui (Tauranga)/New Zealand , 8.30 – 22.00 hrs
The long expanses of its beaches make the Bay of Plenty a popular destination for surfers. Explore Rotorua*, the heart of Maori culture and a surreally beautiful geothermal region with bubbling geysers. Tolkien fans can opt for an excursion to the “The Shire”*. The EUROPA 2 will then cruise around White Island.
Cruising around White Island/New Zealand, around midday
Gisborne/New Zealand, 7.00 – 14.00 hrs
The EUROPA 2 is heading to the port of New Zealand’s unofficial capital of Chardonnay and its impressive wine region* for the first time. Beautiful beaches and the heritage of the Maori people are also waiting to be discovered.
Wellington/New Zealand , 8.00 – 18.00 hrs

The artistic city of Nelson with its numerous galleries and craft shops features pretty wooden houses dating back to colonial times and the Skywire flying fox*, a combination of a chair lift and rollercoaster, which takes you soaring above an impressive forest landscape at high speed.
Kaikoura Bay/New Zealand , 9.00 – 18.00 hrs (at anchor)
The former fishing village is the starting point for whale watching* by catamaran or helicopter. Alternatively, take a kayak trip* along the coast, where you might see fur seals, dolphins and albatrosses with a little luck.
