This afternoon, join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Discover the Rhine Falls, among the most spectacular sites to visit in Switzerland.
DISCOVERY: Hike around and mini-cruise to the foot of the Rhine Falls.
Enjoy an evening of dancing before our ship departs towards Breisach.



Enjoy time at leisure in Breisach, a city along the Rhine. The romanesque St Stephansmünster cathedral overlooks this lovely German town with a European feel.
This afternoon, join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Colmar and the Unterlinden Museum(3).
DISCOVERY: Bike tour of the Kaiserstuhl, a range of hills perfect for cycling amateurs. Our tour will take us through exceptional landscapes, orchards, small medieval villages and along the Rhine.
Enjoy an evening of entertainment.



We’ll arrive in Strasbourg early this afternoon. Join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of the European capital.
DISCOVERY: Bird’s eye view of Strasbourg from the top of the cathedral.
Enjoy an evening of dancing as our ship starts sailing towards Mainz.



Join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Mainz and the Gutenberg Museum (closed on Mondays.)
DISCOVERY: Touring the Rhineland vineyards.
We’ll return on board and cruise up the most beautiful part of the Rhine River towards Koblenz, passing numerous castles as well as the infamous Lorelei Rock along the way. This evening, join our hostess for a tour of the city.



We’ll depart for Cologne, reaching it later this morning. Join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Cologne on foot. Our tour will allow you to wonder at the majestic cathedral, the old town as well as the famous Fragrance Museum (exterior only.) Enjoy time at leisure in the city before we head back to the ship in Düsseldorf by coach. Tonight is our gala dinner and evening.



Join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of the open-air museum in Arnhem. Meanwhile, our ship cruises towards Nijmegen where we’ll board it again after our tour. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.



This morning, join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided panoramic tour of Amsterdam and visit to a diamond merchant’s.
DISCOVERY: Bike tour of Amsterdam in search of its most secret and unique locations.
In the afternoon, join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Visit the Keukenhof Gardens(1).
Outside the opening dates of the park, join us for the optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Haarlem.
DISCOVERY: Guided bike tour of Haarlem all the way to the sand dunes along the Flower Route.



Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m.

The MS Douce France does not have elevators onboard however the dialysis unit, restaurant, bar, reception and access on and off the ship are all located on the Upper Deck which also has cabins.

The Douce France does offer one PRM Cabin (Persons of Restricted Mobility) on the Upper Deck.  This cabin has an adapted shower/wet room – please contact us for further details.

  • I’d just like to thank you and your professional Dialysis Team for making my first ever cruise experience so wonderful.  Starting from the time of booking, through the worst parts – waiting for the departure date to come around, right through until disembarkation.

    The paperwork, though comprehensive was clear and easy for myself and my home clinic nurses to complete, and your advice on what to pack for the expectations of the cruise liner took that stress away.

    It was good to meet everyone in your team and my compatriots for treatment so soon after embarkation and everything always felt like it was no problem and easily handled.  The dialysis team was totally professional at all times, but that was also complimented by their personalities which meant time on dialysis went quite quickly chatting etc.  The Nephrologist was extremely thorough at all times but was also quite amusing in her own way.  The Charge Nurse was a wealth of experience and definitely the glue bonding the team together and always available for everyone at all times.  The two nurses providing support were effective team players and knew their stuff.

    Being an accompanied cruise meant there was always someone about if you wanted a chat even on the excellent inclusive shore trips.  It was good to see the planning that went in to arranging dialysis sessions around these activities and the team were always looking to be flexible on start stop times.

    I will do this again in the future, need to save up a bit first, but would recommend it to anyone.  Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
